The Volunteer Centre Western Isles is an independent local charity with offices based in Lewis, Harris, Uist and Barra.
Our vision is of a Western Isles where everyone volunteers. Where volunteering is recognised as integral to the health, wealth and vitality of the Outer Hebrides. Where the Volunteer Centre Western Isles provides a high quality localised service that supports the growth of volunteering in all islands, in every community, in each home, to any individual.
We have joined together with 4 other third sector support agencies as the partnership TSI Co-cheangal Innse Gall. Co-cheangal is a part of the national network of 32 third sector interfaces which exist across Scotland. To find out more about Co-Cheangal Innse Gall and the services of our partners visit our sister website www.c-cig.org.uk or click on the links to the right.
The VCWI work closely with our network of TSI colleagues, Voluntary Action Scotland, SCVO and Volunteer Development Scotland to improve the quality of our services, keep up to date with volunteering issues and act as a two way link between local volunteering and the Scottish Government.
We provide information, advice and support to Individuals interested in volunteering, volunteer managers, voluntary groups, clubs and organisations, private and public sector organisations and companies. Actively encouraging, supporting and promoting volunteering.
